Adventures in the PI #3
Friday
- Flight to Manila from Cebu and having my comedic, rich uncle pick us up
- eating at a beautiful restaurant called Leslie’s in Tagatay that overlooks the lake and has live performers that serenades for each table
- seeing my uncle’s farm deep in the province, witnessing the simple life where electricity is bare and you eat the food you pick from the ground
- drinking fresh buko juice right from the buko
- staying at Pura Vida resort in Tagatay in a 3 story town home with a nice view of the lake
- meeting my cousins Lean, Lorena, and Juju for the first time
- taking shots of shoju with my cousin in our room
Saturday
- getting my make up done by “bayots” who spoke really clear english and did a great job with my make up and gave me a look I was very comfortable with
- experiencing for the first time being a bridesmaid (even though I didn’t know the bride) and seeing everything fall into place on the wedding day
- seeing the bride transform throughout the day into her beautiful dress that only highlighted her own beauty
- not being able to breath in my dress even though it fit me well
- rain causing the outdoor wedding to become indoors
- seeing my dad with all four of his siblings
- first time witnessing a black and pink themed wedding wear everyone but the bride wears black
- walking down the aisle with my cute escort, James
- crying during the wedding
- being called out to play the single people game which ended up being the farm animal game I like playing
- first time my parents see me drink and they kinda allow it lol
- dancing with my dad at the reception
- fireworks!
- finding out I got good grades last quarter
Sunday
- taking a cold ass shower
- meeting another cousin for the first time for 5 seconds
- leaving Tagaytay at 8am and getting at the airport at 11am when our flight isn’t til 3pm and they won’t let us check in til 1pm
- hearing a song on the radio and deciding I want to choreograph to it for choreo day
- laughing at my uncle cause he brought so many plastic bags to bring on the plane like he was from the province
- taking 40 minutes just to check in
- our flight being delayed til 5pm, killing time by eating
- riding a bus that takes us to our plane for us to board
- eating at Tong’s seafood
Monday
- Feeding the homeless oldies at a charity with my family (and our matching shirts)
- That feeling when you give and seeing happiness on people’s faces
- Knowing that these abandoned old folks became even a bit happier from our visit
- Getting Halo Halo at ice castle
- getting an hour massage with Oji and Bryze
- Sky Extreme activities (all 40 stories high)
- Edge coaster with Ayen and leaving it tilted the whole time
- Sky walk with the cousins plus Ate Darlene while she freaks out cause she’s afraid of heights
- Zip lining for the first time from one tower to the other and hanging upside down
- eating locally at Larsian’s for the first time with it being clouded with smoke from the BBQ
- eating with a plastic glove for the first time
